What originally started out as a roadtrip in search of the answers to some pretty heavy life questions is now a nonprofit that’s turned the heads of numerous major companies over the years.
The latest news out of Costa Mesa nonprofit Roadtrip Nation: it’s working with AT&T and Google’s Applied Digital Skills tool on a new virtual career course, called Roadtrip Nation Experience, aimed at unemployed young people looking for some direction on their career paths.
The free program helps participants figure out their interests, sharpen their digital skills and connects them with working professionals.
Program participants are able to access on-demand content from individuals such as serial entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, Pixar Animation Studios, Director of Photography Danielle Feinberg and actor Craig Robinson, among others.
Roadtrip Nation began when its founding team bought a 1985 RV to drive around the country and pick the brains of people working jobs they loved to learn how they came up on their respective careers.
That work was parlayed into a PBS show, book, educational programs for young adults, a podcast and documentaries.
