Anaheim-based recycling services provider Certified Recycling was acquired by Tricor Pacific Capital, a Vancouver-based private equity firm with an office in Chicago. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Certified Recycling buys recyclable materials and sells to brokers who then sell them for use by mills overseas. Financial details about the company were not available. It was founded in 1977 by John and Louise Dalton and is headed by the Dalton family.
Tricor made the investment out of its fifth fund, which has about $283 million in committed capital. It said it typically looks for investment targets that are profitable and have “enterprise values between $25 million and $150 million.”
