Fontis Solutions in Irvine has been acquired by Dallas-based franchisor Safeguard Business Systems.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Fontis is an employee-owned commercial printer with a product lineup that ranges from paper products to uniforms, point-of-sale displays and various other promotional items, plus fulfillment and marketing services.
It had about $40 million in revenue last year and was founded in 1983.
The company changed its name to Fontis in 2011 to reflect its capacity as a “resource for creative brand messages in print, promotional merchandise, and online communications.”
Its clients include Irvine-based St. Joseph Health System, Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc. in Cypress, and Irvine-based Mazda North American Operations, among others.
