Movement continues within and among Orange County retailers.
Anaheim-based Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. is said to be making moves to downtown Los Angeles, where a number of streetwear and other fashion companies have found firm footing, most notably in the Broadway corridor.
The retailer apparently has eyes for a 4,500-square-foot retail space at 1026 S. Broadway. That’s the home of the newly built Broadway Palace Apartments.
Broadway is also home to a future flagship for Costa Mesa-based Vans Inc., in addition to Nike Inc.’s Jordan Brand and fashion labels such as Theory, Mykita and BNKR.
PacCity, Outlets
Disney’s collaboration with surf brand Roxy has been rolling along with a pop-up series, the most recent of which capped at Pacific City in Huntington Beach.
The girls merchandise collection from the two companies celebrates the 30th anniversary of “The Little Mermaid” movie. The partnership has also been played up in Roxy company-owned stores, core surf shops and hotels with past pop-ups in Laguna Beach, Malibu, San Diego, Coronado, and Corona del Mar.
A bit further inland, Columbia Factory Store and Aerie are the latest companies to join the mix at The Outlets at Orange, which now counts more than 10 new or remodeled stores on its tenant roster this year.
