Indices were up as a broad-based market rally continued amid stable oil prices and positive quarterly reports.
The S&P 500 was up 1.4% to 1,891.55. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1.2% to 16,188.46. The NASDAQ was up 2% to 4,424.29.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 2.6% to 1.79%.
The price of gold was down 2.6% to $1,208.
REAL ESTATE
Newport Beach-based William Lyon Homes was up 12% to $9.07 and a $286 million market cap on above-average volume. Other publicly traded local homebuilders were up marginally as they prepare to report quarterly results this week and next.
SERVICES
Santa Ana-based Iteris Inc. was up 6% to $2.33 and a $75 million market cap. The information services provider said Bayer had agreed to use the company’s agricultural forecasting product.
