TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Broadcom Corp. was down 2.6% to $55.69 and a $33 billion market cap. Traders gave back some profits after yesterday’s 21% jump. The chipmaker has agreed to be bought by Singapore-based Avago Technologies Ltd. for $37 billion.
Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 4.7% to $98.78 and a $22.8 billion market cap. Goldman Sachs upgraded the memory products maker’s shares to “buy” and set a price target of $122.
RETAIL
Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. was down 23.5% to $9.95 and a $282 million. The apparel retailer reported mixed results in its most recent quarter and offered weak guidance for its current quarter.
BANKING
Irvine-based Banc of California Inc. was down 2% to $13.23 and a $471 million market cap. Analysts at D.A. Davidson & Co. downgraded the company’s shares to “hold.”
