Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.22% to 1.980.88 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.14% to 16,981.31 and the Nasdaq fell 0.51% to 4,541.09.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 1.8% to 2.33%.

The price of gold was down 0.55% to $1,222.20.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 2.7% to $95.60 and a market cap of $22.4 billion. It reported quarterly revenue of $3.94 billion and adjusted earnings of $2.10 per share, each of which beat analysts’ estimates.

RESTAURANTS

Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. was down 1.5% to $43.35 and a market cap of $1.2 billion on sector weakness. Nine other publicly traded restaurant chains in a comparable group were down at midday.
