Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 fell 0.3% to 1,995.20 in midday trading Tuesday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4% to 17,046.74, and the Nasdaq fell 0.3% to 4,578.48.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 1.26% to 2.50%.

The price of gold was up 0.24% to $1,260.80

HOMEBUILDING

Irvine-based Standard Pacific Corp was down 1.5% to $8.15 and a market capitalization of $2.3 billion. New York City-based JPMorgan Chase & Co. downgraded its shares from “neutral” to “underweight.”
