Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 fell 0.6% to 1,996.16 in midday trading Monday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.3% to 17,085.10 and the Nasdaq fell 0.25% to 4,571.28.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 0.65% to 2.48%.

The price of gold was down 1% to $1,254.40.

RESTAURANTS

Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. is down 2% to $36.30 and a market cap of $1 billion. An analysts’ consensus of 12 firms has an average rating of “hold” on the stock and a target price of $33.44.

RETAIL

Foothill Ranch-based Wet Seal Inc. is down 6.4% to $0.68 and a market cap of $57.2 million in continued fall-out from its plan to raise $45 million in two stock offerings. The stock has fallen more than one-third since last week and 73% for the year.
