The three major stock indices were flat in midday trading Wednesday.
The S&P 500 was at 1,999.82. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 17,115.75 and the Nasdaq was at 4,570.95.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 0.88% to 2.37%.
The price of gold was down 0.12% to $1,283.60.
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. was up 5.1% to $37.96 and a market cap of $1 billion. The casual restaurant chain said it would triple its share repurchase program announced April 22, from $50 million to $150 million. It’s also doubling its borrowing capacity from $75 million to $150 million.
APPAREL
Anaheim-based Pacific Sunwear of California is down 3.5% to $2.21 and a market cap of $155 million ahead of its quarterly earnings report scheduled for tomorrow. Analysts expect a loss from PacSun of $0.03 per share. The company’s guidance for the quarter is for a loss of $0.02 to $0.08 per share.
