Midday Stock Roundup

 

The S&P 500 was down 0.9% to 4,382.04 during midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 0.5% to 34,972.85.

The Nasdaq fell 2.1% to 14,531.87.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 3% to 1.24%.

The price of gold was flat at $1,800.10.

The price for a barrel of oil fell to 0.8% to $71.34.

TECHNOLOGY

Advertising software company Viant Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: DSP) fell 4.5% to $14.71 apiece for a market cap of $869 million. The shares are worth less than a third of the value that was reached when the company started trading in February. Earlier today, Viant announced the expansion of Adelphic advertising software’s suite of campaign performance and measurement tools.

HEALTHCARE

Lake Forest based medical device maker STAAR Surgical Co. (Nasdaq: STAA) fell 5% to $119.84 per share for a market cap of $5.6 billion. Despite today’s drop, the shares are up 50% since the start of the year.
