Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 1.2% to 2,885.94.

The Dow Jones climbed 1% to 25,908.34.

The Nasdaq jumped 1.3% to 7,921.63.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury was up 1% to 2.41%.

The price of gold was down 0.9% at $1,286.

The price of oil increased 1.6% to $63.01 a barrel.

HEALTHCARE

Irvine-based Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) fell 14% to $19.22 for a $529 million market cap. Alphaeon Corp. yesterday announced it would sell 4 million shares of Evolus stock. Alphaeon owns 15.2 million shares, or 56% of the stock, according to the latest proxy filed last month. The medical aesthetics company launched its first product, Jeuveau, yesterday. Shares of the company have jumped more than 54% year-to-date.

Shares of Irvine-based Masimo Crop. (Nasdaq: MASI) were up 4% to $147.11 for a $7.8 billion market cap. The patient monitoring device maker today announced it has received FDA approval for Radius PPG, a tetherless sensor that “represents a significant breakthrough in patient monitoring.” The company is also holding its annual meeting today.
