U.S. stocks posted a broad decline led by technology stocks. The Nasdaq dropped 2.5% to 7,221.92; the S&P 500 fell 1.6% to 2,735.18; and the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 1.9% to 25,503.98.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was 0.1% lower at 3.19%.
The price of gold fell 0.4% to $2,204.
HEALTHCARE
Glaukos Corp. (NYSE: GKOS) in San Clemente fell 7.9% to $56.64 on light volume and a $2 billion market cap. On Nov. 7, the maker of a line of stents to treat glaucoma reported a third-quarter loss bigger than the consensus average of three analysts.
ICU Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: ICUI) in San Clemente dropped 6.1% to $217.91 and a $4.5 billion market cap. Shares of the maker of infusion therapy devices are down 16% since Nov. 8, when it reported third-quarter sales fell 4.7% year-over-year.
