HEALTHCARE
Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: SPPI) climbed 5.1% to $22.12 and a $2.3 billion market cap. Shares of Spectrum, a maker of drugs for cancer and blood diseases with significant operations in Irvine, have more than doubled in the past year. Spectrum yesterday announced a report on one of its clinical stage cancer drugs at a world conference on lung cancer.
RETAIL
Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) dropped 6% to $20.64 and now has a $591 million market cap. Shares of the Irvine-based company fell 12% yesterday after the company announced that some shareholders, including chain co-founders Hezy Shaked and Tilly Levine, plans to sell 8.1 million common shares and possibly an extra 1.2 million more.
