Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) was up 21% to $16.03 and a $456 million market cap. The youth fashion retailer beat analyst expectations on earnings and reported higher same-store sales.
SERVICES
Emerald Expositions Events Inc. (NYSE: EEX) in San Juan Capistrano was down 6% to $22 and a $1.6 billion market cap. The trade show operator bought Connecting Point Marketing Group a “hosted show” event runner, in Rye, N.H.
HEALTHCARE
Biolase Inc. (Nasdaq: BIOL) in Irvine was up 4.5% to 51 cents a share and a $39 million market cap. A rights offering that expired yesterday offered shares in the dental laser maker for about 46 cents apiece and will bring the company about $12 million in working capital, with at least half that total being purchased by affiliates of two large shareholders.
