Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.2% in midday trading to 2,208.41.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.1% to 19,229.42.

The NASDAQ was up 0.1% to 5,314.58.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 0.4% to 2.39%.

The price of gold fell 0.6% to $1,168.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 2% to $63.32 and an $18 billion market cap. Cowen and Co. also reiterated its “Outperform” rating on the storage products maker with a $70 price target. This followed a “buy” rating yesterday from Susquehanna, which set a price target of $88.

Irvine-based Ingram Micro Inc.’s acquisition by a China-based company closed today and its shares ceased trading.

RETAIL

Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. was up 5% to $14.47 and a $414 million market cap on heavy volume. Tilly’s runs a youth fashion apparel chain.
