CombiMatrix Corp. in Irvine was up 33% to $3.61 and a $9 million market cap. The maker of diagnostic DNA tests said the New York State Department of Health had given conditional approval for the company to market a chromosomal abnormality test in the state, a “promising cash-pay market [of about] $125 million annually.”
RETAIL
Tilly’s Inc. in Irvine was up 4.5% to $9.85 and a $281 million market cap. The youth fashion chain is scheduled to report earnings tomorrow.

Lantronix Inc. in Irvine was up 6.8% to $1.57 and a $27 million market cap. The maker of data connectivity products had traded shares by midday at a rate four times its 90-day average. Its share price is up by one-third year-to-date.
