Anaheim’s 139-room Marriott TownePlace Suites near Angel Stadium has sold for $25.6 million, or about $184,000 per key.
An affiliate of West Covina-based Merry Star Hotel LLC closed on the all-suite property at 1730 S. State College Blvd. last month.
It’s the priciest outright sale of a hotel in Anaheim this year, according to records from real estate market tracker CoStar Group Inc.
Los Angeles-based JJ Grand Inc., which paid $16.3 million for the hotel in 2012, sold the hotel in a debt assumption deal, according to property records.
In 2015, the hotel got a $15.6 million loan that’s tied to a Wells Fargo CMBS loan, according to property records.
It’s the second-known local investment for Merry Star and its affiliates; in 2017 it paid $16 million for a Days Inn by Wyndham hotel in Buena Park.
That 131-room property traded for $122,000 per key.
