HAAH Motors Expansion Gets Fast and Furious

HAAH Motors Holdings hasn’t even released its first vehicle and it’s already got a second automotive brand in the works.

The Irvine-based company said it plans to launch a new vehicle called T-GO to North America in late 2022, with at least two more models to follow by 2024.

“A company rarely gets to introduce one new automotive brand to the North American market, so for HAAH to now introduce T-GO, a second vehicle brand, is a remarkable accomplishment that every person on the team is extraordinarily proud of,” HAAH Chairman and CEO Duke Hale said.

The cadence of the brand releases is certainly hitting the gas on ambitious plans for North America.

HAAH, which is reportedly looking to pump nearly $260 million into South Korean automaker SsangYong Motor Co., in February made the announcement of its first brand, the Vantas. HAAH was established to distribute, sell and service the vehicles—built on China-based Chery Automobile’s Exceed automotive brand platform—in North America.

It’s supposed to launch with the Vantas VX SUV as early as the end of 2021. There’s been no word yet on pricing or other details.

T-GO continues the relationship with Chery, which created the new brand via a technical cooperation agreement with HAAH.

Vantas and T-GO are being produced for the mass market and will be sold digitally in what Hale called a “new car buying experience” that aims for “one price, no haggle, no hassle vehicle pricing.”

Plans call for T-GOs sold in the U.S. and Canada to be made stateside with parts from North America and oversees.
