Irvine-based video game giant Blizzard Entertainment Inc. is heading back to the retail aisles with a familiar partner.
The company, a unit of Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), recently launched another line of graphic T-shirts in collaboration with fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo, which has 18 locations in California, including one at South Coast Plaza.
It’s a follow-up to last year’s exclusive Blizzard collection with the popular Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer, and retailer.
Available online and at Uniqlo stores, the collection features shirts with imagery and characters from some of Blizzard’s most popular franchises such as “World of Warcraft,” “Overwatch,” and “Diablo III.”
Overwatch shirts feature MEKA pilot and esport player D.Va and player DJ Lúcio while Diablo III features designs of Diablo, Lord of Terror.
There are also shirts featuring characters from “StarCraft II,” “Heroes of the Storm,” and “Hearthstone.”
Most of the 12-piece men’s and women’s line is priced from $15 to $20.
Blizzard first announced its Uniqlo partnership last year at BlizzCon, the company’s annual gaming convention in Anaheim.
The company has some additional licensing partnerships that are expected to roll out this year.
Vice President of Global Consumer Products Matthew Beecher said at the time the partnership was struck that it’s been a “goal to give fans an abundance of new ways to express their affinity for their favorite Blizzard games.”
