Video game upstart Frost Giant Studios in Irvine has raised just over $5 million in a new funding round, Chief Executive Tim Morten told the Business Journal.
Frost Giant, started by Morten and other Blizzard Entertainment veterans, said the money came from four investors, including Korean venture capital fund Kona Venture Partners and Jared Smith, the co-founder of RXBAR protein bars.
The money brings the total raised so far to about $9.7 million, following an earlier round in October.
Frost Giant has been developing a real-time, strategy-based game.
