Emerald Expositions’ other licensing events include the Sports Licensing and Tailgate Show in Las Vegas, where exhibiting companies hold the licenses for professional, collegiate and other sports teams, including the NBA, MLB and NASCAR.
It also produces SURTEX in New York, an annual trade show where manufacturers, retailers and marketers source original art and design for product-development needs.
Hyundai’s PGA Move
Fountain Valley-based Hyundai Motor America Inc. said it will shift its six-year sponsorship from the PGA Tournament of Champions in Hawaii next year to the tour’s long-standing event at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.
“The PGA Tour’s Los Angeles tournament is the signature golf event in the country’s second-biggest market, is broadcast nationally on CBS and is located in the backyard of Hyundai’s headquarters in Orange County,” Hyundai President and Chief Executive Dave Zuchowski said in a statement. “During the past six years, we’ve continued to expand our relationship with the game of golf and there is no better tournament for us to be associated with.”
Hyundai replaces Chicago-based Northern Trust Corp., which will become the title sponsor of the first FedExCup Playoff tournament to be held annually in the New York-New Jersey area.
