“We love Orange County,” Clean Energy CEO and President Andrew Littlefair, who lives in Newport Beach. “I’d hazard a guess that a large majority of our employees live in Orange County.”
The company occupies 49,000 square feet of space at the MacArthur Court office complex, covering two-and-a-half floors in the 15-story high-rise not far from John Wayne Airport. The property is owned by the Irvine Co.
The tenant recently announced a new lease deal for its headquarters, where 120 of its workers based there have been coming for most of the past year. The company’s total OC headcount is 159 including technicians and other support staff in the field.
“As an essential business, we have been open during most of the pandemic, with the exception of 4-5 weeks last spring,” officials told the Business Journal last week. “We were one of the first companies in Orange County to implement COVID protocols and processes, which allowed us to safely reopen.”
“We’ve been very happy with our office at MacArthur Court with the Irvine Co., so we’ve renewed our lease and it’s worked out very well for us,” according to Littlefair.
Littlefair said Clean Energy plans to stay “as long as they’ll have us.”
