Employees at Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) restaurants can go home with some extra cash in their pockets.
The Newport Beach-based restaurant chain recently launched a new program allowing hourly employees the chance to qualify for a quarterly bonus.
Chief People Officer Marissa Andrada said the program is a “strategic investment” in its staff.
To qualify, restaurants must hit certain targets such as sales goals, as well as for cash flow and throughput. Workers are able to earn up to an additional week’s worth of pay each quarter, or up to an extra month of pay each year.
Chipotle has more than 70,000 employees and about 2,500 restaurants.
