CdM Home With Resort Flair, Dental Ties on Market

A waterfront estate with an Indonesian resort-style flair in Corona del Mar is on the market with an asking price of $13.8 million, or $2,449 per square foot.

The 5,665-square-foot property at 2605 Way Lane has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Large Honduran mahogany windows and doors offer views along the Corona del Mar Bend, as well as from upstairs in the second family room and rooftop deck, which has a fireplace.

It has a powder room, two offices, a caterer’s kitchen with five ovens, plus two additional refrigeration drawers, a warming drawer and two dishwashers. Other features include Brazilian cherry wood plank floors, Caesarstone counter tops and a curved glass stair railing.

The home is linked to David Beauchamp of Costa Mesa-based real estate firm Beauchamp Enterprises, according to property records.

Beauchamp and his wife have lived in the beach house since 1978, purchasing it from his older brother, Dick, before building a new home in 2007.

He is also the son of the late “credit dentist” and real estate investor Robert F. Beauchamp. Robert was known for offering low-cost dental services to minorities and the poor, as well as heavily advertising his services during the 1940s and 1950s.

He also founded Western Dental Services Inc., the nation’s largest dental HMO, in 1958. The family sold the business in 2006 for an estimated $400 million.

Harold Parker and Jeanne Carni of Villa Real Estate have the listing.

Built in 2010, the 9,462-square-foot property in the gated and guarded Newport Beach community overlooking the coast has five bedrooms and six bathrooms with an expansive backyard.

The manicured grounds include an infinity edge pool connected to a wading pool, a separate spa and barbecue area with a swim-up bar and seats. A koi pond that has a cascading water feature, putting green and built-in fireplace and pit are also on-site.

The home’s master suite has a sitting area and a private terrace with a built-in fireplace and spa.

Other amenities include a custom chef’s kitchen, office, gym, wine room, bonus room with bar, four-car garage and large motor court.

Rex McKown and Marcy Weinstein of Surterre Properties have the listing.

Stately Address

A Laguna Niguel home at 3 Inspiration Point Drive, with prior ties to investment banker and former U.S. Rep. Mimi Walters, R-Laguna Niguel, and her husband, David, is on the market for $11.5 million.

The 14,541-square-foot property sits on 1.52 acres and has 11 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Billed as an “exceptional space for entertainment,” the estate has an elevator, oversized kitchen and theater room with sit-down bar. There’s also a game room, office, home gym, new solar system panels and recently installed Sonos sound system.

The new owners can also practice their putting skills on the home’s private putting green or relax by the pool, spa or fire pits.

Records show the sellers, TRM Manufacturing President Ted Moore and his wife, Anaisa, purchased the property in 2015 from Walters for $6.3 million.

Broker Patrick Lehman has the listing.
