Aristotle Capital Management LLC is doubling its office size in Orange County with a move from Irvine to Newport Beach.
Aristotle will take 12,000 square feet at 840 Newport Center Drive, which will accommodate the firm’s recent growth and make room for additional hires, according to Gary Lisenbee, who shares the chief executive and chief investment officer titles with Howard Gleicher.
Aristotle, which manages more than $8 billion in assets in portfolios of domestic and international equities, has about 20 employees in Orange County and about 40 in its L.A. office.
Lisenbee, Gleicher, and President Steve Borowski started the firm in Irvine and L.A. in 2010. Lisenbee and Borowski will be based in the new OC office, while Gleicher is expected to split his time between both locations.
Gleicher is a veteran of Pacific Investment Management Co. in Newport Beach.
He left Pimco in the 1980s and joined Palley-Needelman Asset Management Inc., also in Newport Beach, where he first worked with Lisenbee and Borowski. The three left in 1997 to start Metropolitan West Capital Management LLC.
Metropolitan was acquired in 2006 by Wachovia, which later merged into Wells Fargo.
