Anaheim-based food packaging company L&L Foods Inc. is planning to open a $3.1 million distribution facility in Wilmington, Ohio.
L&L packages 10 million units of finished food products a month, ranging from salad dressings and spice blends to croutons and dried fruits.
The new facility is about 103,000 square feet and will lead to about 100 jobs, according to the Dayton Development Coalition.
L&L was founded in 2008 by John Pooley and Scott Lebda, former executives at Irvine-based food manufacturing and packaging company Golden State Foods Corp., one of the largest private companies headquartered in Orange County. They also served in management roles at Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra Foods Inc.
