A new ride will replace the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure, according to news reports. Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: Breakout! will go into the Hollywood Tower Hotel building. The Marvel Comics-themed ride will take park visitors on an adventure with superhero Rocket Raccoon. Disney and Marvel announced the change at the Comic-Con convention in San Diego. Twilight Zone will operate until January. The new ride is scheduled to open next summer, around the time the newest “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie debuts in theaters.

Apparel

Luxottica Group SPA in Italy said it’s speeding up integration of Oakley Inc. The eyewear brand’s wholesale division now will report to Luxottica’s New York office, and operations of its 250 stores will be handled from Mason, Ohio. Oakley’s Foothill Ranch headquarters will continue to focus on product design, research, development and manufacturing. Oakley’s Foothill Ranch staff will be trimmed by about 400, or 20%, by year-end, leaving about 2,000 companywide.

Glaukos Corp. in Laguna Hills said Chief Financial Officer Richard Harrison will retire next year. Glaukos makes the iStent implant used to treat glaucoma, an eye disease that’s a major cause of blindness. The device maker said in a statement that Harrison, who joined Glaukos in 2008, will remain CFO until a successor is named and that he’s “agreed to assist with an orderly transaction.”

Manufacturing

Infinite RF Holdings Inc. in Irvine bought on undisclosed terms L-Com Inc., a maker of custom computer networking equipment in North Andover, Mass. Johnny Rockets Group Inc. in Lake Forest named John Maguire president and chief executive officer, replacing Charles Bruce, who joined the burger chain in March 2015. Maguire will retain his current role as president and chief executive of FIC Restaurants Inc., formerly Friendly’s Ice Cream LLC in Wilbraham, Mass. Friendly’s sold its retail and manufacturing in June for $155 million in cash to Dean Foods Company in Dallas. Johnny Rockets said it will operate independently of Friendly’s while company leaders consider the “synergy” of both restaurant chains’ menu items, which include shakes, burgers and sandwiches and “high-quality” ice cream.

Taco Bell Chief Executive Brian Niccol joined the board of directors at Harley-Davidson Inc., the maker of motorcycles in Milwaukee, Wis.
