WCI Communities Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Home builder WCI Communities Inc. said on Monday it and about 130 of its subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection because it failed to obtain the financing that would keep $1.8 billion of debt out of default.
