Aliso Viejo-based Vue Technology, an inventory tracking software company, said it was bought by two venture capital investors for an undisclosed amount.
Vue Technology’s software tracks products from the warehouse to store shelves to the point of sale via radio frequency identification tags.
Vue Technology, a unit of Stamford, Conn.-based MeadWestvaco Corp., was bought by Canaan Partners and Partech International.
Rowayton, Conn.-based Canaan Partners is an early-stage investor in Internet, software, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics and communications technologies.
Canaan’s other Orange County investments include Dana Point Financial, an Aliso Viejo-based company that provides workers’ compensation insurance; Insuretrade, a Santa Ana-based Internet provider of property and casualty insurance; and IntraLens Vision, a Lake Forest-based vision correction device maker.
San Francisco-based Partech International, with offices in France and Israel, is an investor in technology companies.
