Tustin-based The Quantum Group, a maker of equipment that recycles automobile tires, has acquired Advanced Recycling Sciences Inc., a subsidiary of Plant City, Fla.-based UTEK Corp.
Advanced Recycling obtained a worldwide exclusive license to a patented recycling technology that uses chemical processes under supercritical conditions to recycle tires.
Terms of the acquisition were not released.
