Pop Artist Shag Hits Nation’s Heartland; Ins, Outs of Inouye

You know you’ve made it when you hit Nebraska. Orange County pop artist Josh Agle, better known as Shag, is the inspiration for a nightclub opening this month in Omaha. Local entrepreneur Terry O’Halloran is turning a comedy club there into “Shag, a vodka bar.” Plans call for a bachelor-pad vibe and monitors showing Agle’s art of cocktail drinking swingers from the 1950s and ’60s. Piet Agle, Josh’s brother and operator of Costa Mesa’s Shagmart, said the club was news to him.
