ADVERTISING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

Placentia-based Total Spectrum Advertising hired Jay Tolman as director of client services. Tolman has experience in client and agency business dealings and has authored a marketing textbook.

AUTOMOTIVE

Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. Inc., an Irvine-based unit of Toyota Motor Corp. that distributes forklifts, made several management changes: Payman Shabbak was promyoted to strategic planning manager; David Humphry was promoted to national account/fleet sales support manager; Bruce Marti was promoted to customer support and service and parts marketing manager; Troy Kaiser was appointed as distribution services manager; Mike Cockrell was appointed as northeast territory manager; Luis Chaves was appointed sales and product training manager; Jerry Clark was hired as a national account manager; and Elizabeth Agnew was hired as a national account manager.

BANKING

Patrick Zazueta was appointed vice president and business development officer at Citizens Business Bank’s Laguna Hills branch. Zazueta comes from Alliance Bank, where he was a business development officer.

CONSTRUCTION

The Irvine office of Phoenix-based Opus West Corp. promoted Matt Montgomery to senior real estate manager. Montgomery will be responsible for the Campus Center apartments under construction in Irvine.

EMPLOYMENT

Irvine-based TMGG, a provider of executive search services specializing in accounting and finance, named Rob Sneed director of client services, and added Steven Watson and TJ Albert as executive search consultants.

HOSPITALITY

Mark Becker was appointed rooms executive at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa after having served in the same position at the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort and Spa in Palm Springs. Becker has 14 years of experience with Hyatt.

Rob Doughty was appointed vice president, communications, for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Prior to joining Walt Disney Co., Doughty was vice president of strategic communications for Burger King Corp. and is relocating from Miami.

LAW

Attorney Denise D. Iger joined Hickey & Petchul LLP in Irvine, which represents community associations.

MARKETING

The Skiva Group, a marketing firm in Irvine, named Kari Varga senior account executive. Varga previously was media account executive at Cox Communications Inc.

MEDIA & PUBLISHING

Orange County native Robbin Preciado was elected to the KOCE-TV Foundation board. Preciado is Wells Fargo & Co.’s market president for North Orange County and serves on the boards of the Orange County Business Council, Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance and on the Corporate Advisory Board of the Asian Business Association of Orange County.

NONPROFIT

Lynda Hempeck was promoted to chief operating officer at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Orange County, continuing a career with the group that began in 1996. Hempeck previously was finance and operations specialist at Make-A-Wish.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County appointed Dan Young to its board of directors. Young is executive vice president of entitlement and public affairs for The Irvine Company. Young has more than two decades of experience in real estate and

previously served as mayor and councilman of Santa Ana. He also served on the boards of regional

agencies including the Metropolitan Water

District and Orange County Transportation Authority.

REAL ESTATE

Shayna Rimel joined CommonWealth Partners as a leasing associate. She’ll work on leasing of Pacific Arts Plaza in Costa Mesa. Rimel comes from Jones Lang LaSalle, where she was a leasing broker.

TOURISM

The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau promoted two of its department directors to vice presidents. Elaine Cali, who started with the bureau more than two decades ago as communications manager, now serves as vice president of communications. Ann Gallaugher, who started in 1983 as manager of tourism development overseeing the Asian markets, now is vice president of tourism development.
