PriVest Bank of Santa Ana named R. David Threshie, chairman of Irvine-based media company Freedom Communications Inc., to its board of directors.
ENGINEERING
Katherine Wheaton was appointed HNTB Corp.’s West division business manager. She will be responsible for leading and managing the division’s finance and accounting departments. Wheaton works out of HNTB’s offices in Santa Ana.
GOVERNMENT
The Orange County Sanitation District selected Carol Beekman as district communications manager. She ran her own consulting firm for the past nine years and also worked as a public relations consultant for OC Transportation Authority and the city of Santa Monica.
HEALTHCARE
Alliance Imaging Inc. of Anaheim named Paul S. Viviano its president and chief executive. He was the chief executive of the University of Southern California Hospital and the USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Alliance provides outsourced diagnostic imaging services.
LAW
Latham & Watkins hired two partners to work at its OC office. Mark Finkelstein practices intellectual property litigation. He graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 1994. R. Scott Shean practices corporate and securities law. Shean received his law degree from University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1994.
Santa Ana law firm Hart, King & Coldren added two associates to its litigation department. Thomas Foley has experience in business litigation. Rhonda Mehlman also is a business litigator involving franchise, trademark and contract disputes.
Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O’Keefe & Nichols of Los Angeles elected Raymond J. McMahon of its Santa Ana office a shareholder. He has experience in medical malpractice and elder abuse law including trial experience. He has represented the U.S. in federal court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
NONPROFIT
The Orange County chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society added three staff members. Terry Babbitt was named accounting assistant. Julie Garino was tabbed to be database manager. Steve Ungerer was appointed office manager.
REAL ESTATE
Craig Boucher was named vice president and manager of the major accounts division at the Anaheim branch of Stewart Title of California. He will lead development of the company’s commercial, industrial and subdivision business in Southern California.
RESTAURANT
Johnny Rockets Group Inc. of Aliso Viejo promoted Mimi Schiffer to senior vice president marketing. Schiffer will lead the company’s marketing, purchasing and research and development activities. She was senior vice president, group account director at the Alcone Marketing Group Inc. in Irvine.
SERVICES
Peter Santora was named managing director of Korn/ Ferry International’s Irvine office. Santora joined Korn/Ferry in 2002 as a senior client partner and worked as a recruiter. Also, Gary C. Hourihan, Korn/ Ferry’s president of strategic management assessment, has moved from the company’s headquarters in Los Angeles to the Irvine office.
TECHNOLOGY
Stephen J. Saporito was promoted to chief operating officer of Irvine-based Millennium Corporate Solutions Inc. He will coordinate and integrate the company’s general policies as well as help with mergers and acquisitions. He has been with Millennium and served on the board since 2001.
Eric Kelley was appointed president and chief executive of Snap Appliance Inc. of Irvine. Kelley was president of Maxtor Corp.’s network storage group.
