ARCHITECTURE
Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo Inc. in Newport Beach promoted Stacy Prince-Lezaja to director of human resources. She has been with the company since 1999.
The Irvine office of Carrier Johnson promoted Jeff Causey to director. He previously worked as senior associate and director of public works. Mark Loxsom, who previously ran the Irvine office, was promoted to principal in charge of operations. He has been with the company for more than six years.
EDUCATION
The Pegasus School in Huntington Beach appointed Sue Harrison director of institutional advancement. Prior to joining the school, Harrison was director of development at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana.
HEALTHCARE
Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach elected Peter M. Butterfield, Carol De Grazier, Ron Livingston, Vince McGuinness and Sandi Simon to Hoag Hospital Foundation’s board. Butterfield is chief executive of Kia Motors America Inc. De Grazier previously worked for Callaway Golf Co., serving as chief financial officer and chief information officer. Livingston is co-owner of Wittenberg-Livingston Inc., a real estate development company in Newport Beach. McGuinness is founder of the McGuinness Group, a Newport Beach-based financial marketing company. He also serves as co-chair of the joint investment management committee for Hoag Hospital and Hoag Hospital Foundation.
HOSPITALITY
The St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa in Dana Point named Melissa Centeno as director of public relations. Centeno will oversee media and public relations for the hotel. She previously held the position of communications manager with the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau and marketing manager for Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana.
LAW
Dean Scott Wylie, associate dean of Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, was elected secretary of the Orange County Bar Association. Before working at the law school, Wylie was executive director of the Public Law Center, a pro bono legal services agency for Orange County.
Stuart Price was named partner at Bryan Cave LLP in Irvine. His practice includes contract disputes, real estate matters, debt collection, creditor’s rights in bankruptcy, shareholder and partnership disputes, unfair competition, trade secrets, banking, finance and employee theft and embezzlement.
MEDIA
Jorge Abrego was named manager of Excelsior, the Spanish-language newspaper for Orange County that’s part of Irvine’s Freedom Communications Inc., parent of The Orange County Register. He formerly worked as principal of GEO Media Services.
NONPROFIT
United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County appointed Kathy Chennault as director of development. She has more than 14 years experience working with educational agencies and spent more than two years as a grant writer and consultant. The United Cerebral Palsy group recently moved to Irvine from Santa Ana.
REAL ESTATE
Charles Dunn Co.’s Newport Beach office hired Jay Johnson and Jason Keller as associates in the brokerage services group.
SPORTS
The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim promoted Michael Williams to director of sales and marketing. Williams joined the team in 2002 as director of marketing. Aaron Teats was promoted to director of broadcasting. Teats has been with the organization since 1995 and most recently served as the telecast producer for the team’s TV and cable-games. Michael Corcoran was named Web site editor. He formerly worked for MLB.com as a marketing producer. Brian Pringle was named advertising sales manager. He previously worked as the national sales manager for Five Continents Ltd. Valerie Schwartz joined the Mighty Ducks as an accountant.
Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda named Eric Lohman, who formerly was the PGA director of golf and sales and marketing at the club, as general manager. Lohman has worked at Black Gold since 2001. Tom McCray was named director of golf. Before working at Black Gold, McCray was the PGA tournament director and director of instruction at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine. Steve Soule was named PGA director of instruction and sales manager. Sarrah Prinzivalli was named human resource manager and sales and marketing director. Mark Hoesing was promoted to regional manager for Black Gold’s parent company, Northbrook, Ill.-based KemperSports Management.
