PWC & Associates in Newport Beach hired Lorraine Quintanar and Peggy Olson as executive recruiters.


CONSTRUCTION

Schuler Homes Inc., Irvine, appointed Keith Reilly vice president of corporate operations. Reilly previously worked for Reilly Development Corp. and Reilly Homes Inc., which Schuler Homes acquired in 1999.


ENGINEERING

Willdan of Anaheim named Gary Roepke vice president and manager of the water/wastewater division.


ENTERTAINMENT

Playmates Toys Inc., Costa Mesa, appointed Lou Novak president. Novak has held senior management positions at Galoob, Mattel and Coleco and most recently at Mainframe Entertainment.


GOVERNMENT

Norma Glover, Newport Beach councilmember and current Air Quality Management District board vice chair, was elected chairman of the board. Glover joined AQMD’s board in January 1997 and currently chairs AQMD’s administrative and finance committees and its home rule advisory group.


HEALTHCARE

Edwards Lifesciences Corp., Irvine, named Keith Reisinger corporate vice president, technology. Reisinger spent 15 years at Cordis Corp., a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. The company also named Todd Abraham vice president, manufacturing. Abraham most recently was vice president and general manager of Sterilis Inc.

NeoTherapeutics Inc., Irvine, appointed Ashok Gore vice president pharmaceutical development. Gore most recently was vice president, pharmaceutical operations of SuperGen.


LAW

Fisher & Phillips LLP hired Cory King as an associate. King’s practice primarily is focused on litigation in state and federal courts involving unfair competition and trade secrets, harassment, discrimination and wrongful termination. The Irvine firm also hired Bill Kampf as an associate attorney. Kampf worked for the National Labor Relations Board in Philadelphia before joining the firm


PRINTER

Sir Speedy Inc., Mission Viejo, hired Steve Hodgkins and Tina Stelzer as business management consultants.


REAL ESTATE

Grubb & Ellis Co., Newport Beach, promoted Robert Osbrink to executive vice president and regional managing director of its Southern California operations. Osbrink previously served for four years as regional managing director of the company’s five Los Angeles County offices.

Laura Coley Eisenberg was promoted to director of planning and entitlement for Rancho Mission Viejo LLC. Eisenberg previously was principal of resource management for the Transportation Corridors Agency.

Michael Forsum joined Taylor Woodrow Homes Inc. as California regional president. Forsum will oversee the planning, direction and overall management of Taylor Woodrow Homes’ Northern and Southern California regions and Nevada.

The Merit Cos., Mission Viejo, promoted Julie Aronson to district manager. Aronson was a sales representative for a construction machinery dealer before joining Merit. Todd Beebe was also promoted to district manager. Beebe joined the company in 1997 as an account executive. The company promoted Karen Inman to assistant vice president of information systems. Inman joined Merit in 1999 as a technology account executive.

Pascal Burke joined A & W Builders Inc. in Capistrano Beach as vice president of business development. Burke previously was president of Tri-West Concrete Inc.


TECHNOLOGY

Mark Cody was appointed vice president business operations for Cox Communications in Rancho Santa Margarita. Cody will oversee financial operations, collections, warehouse operations and MIS for the Cox Orange County.

Bill Rock was hired as director of business development by Lighting Technology Service Inc. in Costa Mesa. Rock previously managed retrofit and maintenance services for SLi Lighting Solutions, California Retrofit Inc. and Cambell Lighting Services.
