Perigon Medical Picks COO
Perigon Medical Distribution Corp., a Laguna Hills-based medical and surgical equipment supplier, appointed Tony Domenico of Laguna Hills chief operating officer, a position created to allow Frank Schyving, Perigon’s president and CEO, to concentrate on strategic planning.
Domenico will oversee the daily operations of the company’s 12 branch offices, in addition to his previous responsibilities in sales and vendor relations.
“Tony Domenico’s 15 years of healthcare experience will enhance our ability to develop programs instrumental to attaining our goals,” Schyving said.
Before joining Perigon in 1998 as a senior vice president, Domenico was regional vice president of Apria Healthcare Group’s Southern California region. There, he was responsible for the sales and operations of a company that encompassed 820 employees at 13 locations. Before that he was an auditor with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.
Domenico said he plans to continue improving the long-term care and home care aspects of the medical distributor.
“We are also working on implementing a national computer system,” said Domenico.
The COO has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of California at Santa Barbara and is a certified public accountant. His interests include golf and coaching his children’s sports teams. Domenico and his wife, Sharon, have been Orange County residents for 20 years. They have 3 children: Ryan, 10; Cameron, 8; and Landon, 5.
Accounting
Charles Love joined RSM McGladrey Inc. as business development director and will work with the firm’s San Bernardino, Anaheim and Pasadena offices. He was previously manager of business development for United Bookkeeping in Corona.
Kushner, Smith, Joanou & Gregson LLP, Irvine, promoted Steven J. Castle to partner. He joined the firm in 1996. The firm also promoted Jeffery E. Myers to audit manager and David H. Griffin to tax senior. In addition, John Saleman, Juan Martinez, and Paige Kuroyama joined the firm’s audit staff and Stacy Laitsch was appointed to the tax staff.
Cheri Themer joined Vicenti, Lloyd & Stutzman, Newport Beach, to direct the marketing efforts of the firm’s Orange County and Inland Empire offices. She was formerly media associate for a Manhattan advertising agency.
Deloitte & Touche, Costa Mesa, appointed Haroon Khan a senior in the Southern California and Nevada general tax services group at the Costa Mesa office.
Linh Tong was named senior associate in the assurance practice for BDO Seidman LLP, Costa Mesa. She most recently worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP as senior associate.
Architecture
Charles Good-Man joined Gillings/Mueller Architects, Aliso Viejo, as project architect. He will oversee the production of construction drawings.
AC Martin Partners Inc. hired Peter Mitsakos and Alberto Nicolau for the firm’s Irvine office. Mitsakos, who has 19 years’ experience as a project designer and architect, was named director of design. Nicolau, a 15-year veteran of the architecture industry, was hired as project architect.

Kari Koh was appointed assistant vice president for PFF Bank & Trust. She is based at the bank’s Tustin and Yorba Linda offices, where she is also branch manager. Koh previously worked as business center manager for Wells Fargo Bank.
First Western Mortgage Corp., Costa Mesa, named Steve Bridges, Rob Hagerty, and David Blain principals of the firm, which provides services for life insurance companies.
Dorothy Zink was appointed president of Safe Harbor Exchange Inc., Huntington Beach. She was previously manager for Mid-Exchange Inc., Santa Ana.
Lisa D. Meadows joined Comerica Bank-California, Costa Mesa, as senior vice president in its specialty deposit group. Meadows formerly worked as an escrow industry manager for Union Bank of California.

Terrance McGovern, managing partner of BCC Capital Partners LLC, was elected vice chairman of the finance committee and a member of the executive committee of the Orange County High School of the Arts. He will oversee the school’s relocation to an independent campus in Santa Ana.

Refractec Inc., Irvine, named Lauren Kanner vice president of marketing. She was most recently global product director for Chiron Vision.

Joel Wolfer was hired as vice president of project development for DMK, Tustin. He will supervise the estimating department and will be responsible for all aspects of pre-construction.

Victor K. Hausmaninger, managing director for Hausmaninger Benoe Lang & Alford, Irvine, was elected to the University Advisory Board at California State University, Fullerton. He was founding chairman of the School of Business Administration and Economics Advisory Council. In addition, CSUF named Edwin S.W. Young director of internal audit. He will report to university president Milton A. Gordon.
Engineering
HDR Engineering Inc., Orange, hired Nina M. Harris as environmental specialist. She has 10 years’ experience in cultural resources management and was previously project archaeologist for Gallegos & Associates.
Environment
Carol H. Beswick and Jose J. Solorio were elected to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, Santa Ana. Beswick is co-owner of Paper Partners, Redlands. Solorio is a governmental relations representative for the Orange County Transportation Authority.
Health
Harold Burlingame, executive vice president of merger and joint venture integration for AT & T;, was elected to the board of directors for e-rehab, San Juan Capistrano.
The Sturgess Co., Newport Beach, appointed Jim Gardner associate partner. He will be responsible for new business development and client support services.
PacifiCare Dental & Vision, Anaheim, named Jerry Nosewicz vice president of sales and account management. He relocated from Dallas, where he was vice president of sales for Protective Dental Care.
Utilities
Southern California Edison, Rosemead, promoted Dale Shull Jr. and Andrew L. Grant to vice president. Shull Jr., a 27-year company veteran who lives in Trabuco Canyon, was named vice president of distribution. Grant, a 35-year veteran who resides in Huntington Beach, was promoted to vice president of transmission.
