ARCHITECTURE
Irvine-based Ware Malcomb’s technology group appointed Joseph Martinez project manager. He has worked in the interior architecture industry for 18 years. Tony Dabaghy and Randy Orozco joined the company as job captains. Dabaghy and Orozco have worked in the industry for six years.
Richard W. Apel joined San Clemente-based The Collaborative West. Apel previously served as director of landscape architecture for the Legoland theme park in Carlsbad. He continues to be the park’s consulting landscape architect.
CONSTRUCTION
The Irvine office of San Diego-based Roel Construction Co. hired John Lukin as estimator. He has more than 15 years of experience in construction estimating. Michael Hyslop joined Roel as project manager. He has 21 years of experience in construction management, most recently for Perera Construction and Design Inc. in Ontario.
The United Kingdom’s Taylor Woodrow PLC named Jose Alkon director of sales for the company’s Irvine office. Alkon has been with the company since 1994, serving as sales manager.
LAW
Bryan Cave in Irvine added Shonna L. Owen as an associate. Owen will work in the firm’s banking, finance, real estate development and construction practices. Owen was most recently an attorney for the law firm of White & Case LLP in New York City.
MANUFACTURING
Santa Fe Springs-based Tangram Interiors, an office furniture maker, named Mark Smith vice president of sales for Orange County. He will work out of the company’s Santa Ana office. Smith comes to Tangram from Milpitas-based One Workplace, where he served as vice president of sales for the past five years.
MARKETING
Julie Reed joined Morgan Marketing & Public Relations as senior account executive. She will work on accounts including Panda Restaurant Group, Wienerschnitzel and Wetzel’s Pretzels. Previously, Reed served as the development manager at the Orange County Affiliate of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation.
NONPROFIT
Mary Ellen Hardin, chief executive and chairman of the board of SmileCare Family Dentistry, was appointed to the board of the National Association of Specialty Health Organizations. The association was founded by the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations to lobby on behalf of specialty health organizations.
PRINTING
Irvine-based OCB Reprographics Inc. hired Tom Marshall as a reprographics sales consultant. Marshall has 20 years of experience in the reprographics market. Scott Butler was promoted to color manager. Butler most recently managed the color department in OCB’s Mission Valley office in San Diego.
REAL ESTATE
MBK Homes, the homebuilding unit of Irvine-based MBK Real Estate Ltd., promoted Jeanne L. Stott to director of sales and marketing. She previously held the position of sales manager. Prior to joining MBK, Stott was sales manager for Shea Homes of Southern California.
SERVICES
Irvine-based SK & A; Information Services, which maintains healthcare mailing lists and databases, appointed Chris Lundgren as executive vice president, sales and marketing.
The Sutton Place Hotel in Newport Beach named Charles W. Hamann as director of catering. Hamann has 20 years in the food and beverage industry and most recently served as senior catering manger at the Plaza Hotel in New York City. Bette Gill was named director of sales and marketing. She most recently served as vice president, sales and marketing, for Dallas-based Wyndham International Inc.
