ACCOUNTING

Jefferson Wells International Inc., an accounting firm specializing in internal auditing, promoted David Hess to director of finance operations and Ray Ybarra to director of information technology at its Irvine office.


ARCHITECTURE

Newport Beach-based Brion Jeannette Arch-itecture promoted Amy J. Creager to associate.


AUTOMOTIVE

American Suzuki Motor Corp. in Brea added Gene Brown and Chuck Halper to its executive management team. Brown was hired as vice president of marketing and public relations. Halper is vice president of quality and service.


BANKING

Union Bank of California promoted Christopher V. Montagna to vice president, regional investment manager of UnionBanc Investment Services LLC division. He manages Orange County, the Inland Empire and some desert regions of California.

Charles Tiano joined Jacksonville, Fla.-based Everbank Financial Corp. as regional sales director for the Southern California region. He is based in Newport Beach.


CONSULTING

Irvine-based Precept Inc., a human resources and benefits consulting firm, hired Steve Williams as president of operations.


EDUCATION

David J. Schramm was named a member of the Orange County High School of the Arts Foundation board. He is president of Los Alamitos-based Arrowhead Products Corp. and Italy’s Flexider SRL, which was bought by Arrowhead in 2002. Arrowhead is a maker of products for the aerospace industry.

Blind Children’s Learning Center, a Santa Ana private school for blind and visually impaired children, elected three new board members: Dick Foster, a management consultant with MTM Technologies in Irvine; Mike Pagani, vice president of marketing at Stay-Linked eBusiness Solutions Pros Inc. in Tustin; and Kenneth Svendsen, vice president of travel operations and in market sales for Walt Disney Co.’s Parks and Resorts unit in Anaheim.


FINANCE

Wells Fargo & Co. appointed Charles Hyde to district manager for Wells Fargo Saddleback Valley District, which includes branches in Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Irvine, Rancho Santa Margarita and El Toro.


FOOD

Irvine-based Classic Foods Inc., a maker of snack foods such as Kettle Classics Potato Chips, appointed Payal Kukreti as operations manager.


GOVERNMENT

Todd Priest was appointed to the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s local government and small business assistance advisory group. He is vice president of government and community affairs for the Orange County Business Council.


HEALTHCARE

Tustin-based Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. named Lawrence Dentice as general manager, senior vice president and an officer of the company. Dentice joined Toshiba in 2002. He is set to oversee its sales, marketing, service and business operations teams as well as the ultrasound business unit. Toshiba America Medical makes CT, X-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and MRI devices.

Newport Beach-based Ziering Medical, which focuses on hair restoration surgery and techniques, hired Mary Clemente as practice manager for all of the company’s offices.


HOTELS

The Island Hotel Newport Beach hired Terry Reid as director of sales and marketing, Michelle Devine as director of group sales and Julie Browe Mathews as director of transient sales.


INSURANCE

Pacific Life Insurance Co. in Newport Beach promoted the following: Adrianne A. Berube to assistant vice president, asset/liability strategies; Jim Y. Chu to assistant vice president, product design; Martin J. Fleischman to assistant vice president, separate accounts; Jane M. Guon to assistant vice president and assistant secretary; Shelly J. Higgins to assistant vice president, accounting and reporting; Gregory L. Keeling to assistant vice president finance and accounting; Darcy L. Lewis to assistant vice president, credit analyst; John Waldeck to assistant vice president, real estate underwriting; and Keith Werschke, to assistant vice president, information management division actuarial. Alice P. Terlecky was promoted to assistant vice president, new business services in the company’s Foothill Ranch office.

Standard Insurance Co., a unit of StanCorp Financial Group Inc., appointed Ross Lopez to regional service coordinator for the Los Angeles Retirement Plans Office. He is based in Orange.


LAW

Costa Mesa-based Rutan & Tucker LLP hired Marie Leggon Wrighten as senior counsel in the firm’s trial section.


MARKETING

Specialized Marketing Services Inc. in Irvine named Matt Waldman vice president of strategic development. The company also hired Lisa Hiatt as director of strategic business development.

Costa Mesa-based healthcare marketing agency Pacific Communications promoted Craig Sullivan to executive vice president, management director, and Henry Lee to senior vice president, director of client services.

Pinnacle Exhibits LLC, a company that designs, makes and manages trade show exhibits and museum and retail installations for companies, named Larry Myers project manager at its Irvine office.


NONPROFIT

Wayne Pinnell, managing partner of Haskell & White LLP, was appointed to the board of Laura’s House, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing and reducing domestic and family violence in OC.


REAL ESTATE

Danny Prosky was appointed managing director-healthcare properties for Santa Ana-based Triple Net Properties LLC. He will oversee medical property acquisitions, management and dispositions.


SPORTS

Anaheim Arena Management LLC, the management company for the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, added six people: Jesse Chatfield, sponsorship services coordinator; Marissa Gellar; assistant event services manager; Geoff Matthews, premium sales account executive; Damon Roschke, telemarketing manager; Scott Tarlo, telemarketing representative; and Regina Terrana, payroll supervisor.


TECHNOLOGY

Cypress-based Christie Digital Systems Inc., a maker of film projectors and other display products, named Kevin Barlow senior director of sales for control rooms.
