Accounting firm Jefferson Wells International Inc. made several additions to its Irvine office. Charles Eysmann was named engagement manager for internal audit. Eysmann formerly was enterprise risk services manager with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Additionally, James Jimenez was appointed director of internal audit for Jefferson’s Irvine office. He was previously director of internal audit for real estate developer Arnel Development Co. Margi Quick was added as tax director to Jefferson’s local office. She previously worked at Arthur Andersen LLP. Jefferson also added Daniel Blander as information technology manager for Irvine. Antonio Rios was named tax manager for the Irvine location. Dena Hall was added to the Jefferson staff as the tax manager.
ARCHITECTURE
Taylor & Associates Architects of Newport Beach promoted Damon Barda to associate. Taylor specializes in healthcare architecture and interior design. As a project architect he is responsible for preliminary design through construction. Barda is a commissioner on the California Board of Architectural Examiners, which administers licensing exams.
EDUCATION
The North Orange County Community College District’s School of Continuing Education named Randy G. Will director of special projects at its Anaheim campus. He will oversee operation of the school’s new Anaheim campus and provide staff training. Also, Martha Gutierrez has been named coordinator of vocation and medical programs. She will be responsible for creating consistency among all vocational education certificate programs.
ENVIRONMENT
Thomas F. Holm and Loye E. Peternell were named principals at environmental planning firm Michael Brandman Associates in Tustin. Holm is the company’s director of environmental services; Peternell is chief financial officer.
HEALTHCARE
Christopher J. Welch was appointed vice president of the U.S. surgical sales unit of Lake Forest-based I-Flow Corp., which designs and makes drug delivery systems. Welch worked in marketing and sales at Baxter International Inc. until 2000. Also, Richard E. Cox joined I-Flow as a regional sales vice president. Cox is a former division sales manager for Johnson & Johnson’s Ethicon Endo-Surgery Inc. unit.
LAW
Haskell & White LLP of Irvine added two staff members. Terry L. Johnston joined Haskell’s tax service group as a manager. He previously worked at the Irvine office of Arthur Andersen. Judy M. Skelly was named as Haskell’s controller. Skelly is the former controller at Anaheim-based Grant Piston Rings, where she was responsible for all accounting functions.
MARKETING
Mia Castillo was promoted to project manager at Newport Beach-based The Peterson Group. She has been an account coordinator since joining the company last year. She will be responsible for marketing programs and directing client programs and projects.
Garden Grove-based Mindshare Creative Group hired Linda Lenn as an accounts manager. She will work on strategic marketing programs. Derwin Villarin has joined Mindshare’s “right brain” unit as a junior art director. He will work with the creative and design teams.
NONPROFIT
Paul Kristopher Wachter of Newport Beach was elected to the Good Shepherd Communities board of directors. Good Shepherd provides training and care for 800 children and disabled adults in the west, including 128 people in OC. Wachter is a real estate consultant.
Bill Garcia, vice president of business development for M Squared Inc., was named a member of the board of directors of the Cypress College Foundation. Garcia, a Cypress resident, will create partnerships with the business community and raise funds for the foundation’s projects and scholarships.

Commercial real estate investment firm Sperry Van Ness of Irvine named Richard W. Russell senior associate. He will work on commercial real estate deals.

RemedyTemp Inc of Aliso Viejo named Monty A. Houdeshell senior vice president and chief financial officer effective Jan. 1. Houdeshell was formerly chief financial officer at Furon Co.
Bill McMahon joined Laguna Beach-based JC Wallin Executive Search as partner and managing director of its electronic technology practice. McMahon is the former president of Arrow Electronics Inc.’s Arrow/Wyle Computer Products unit. He was Wyle’s president prior to the company’s acquisition by Arrow Electronics Inc.
TECHNOLOGY
Toshiba Corp.’s Computer Systems Group, a unit of Irvine-based Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., named Mark D. Pickard vice president of product management for its projector unit. Pickard will help develop and implement a marketing program for Toshiba projectors. Pickard is a former group product manager in Epson America Inc.’s audio/visual unit.
