The Newport Beach office of Gensler Architecture, Design & Planning Worldwide promoted seven of its employees. Shawn Davidson, Jeffery Erickson, JoBeth Skaggs and Laurie Tartagni were promoted to senior associates. Steve Butler, Julie Miller and Carl Willmann were named associates.
ARTS
Laguna College of Art & Design added six members to its board of trustees. Geoffrey LePlastrier is president of Le Plastrier Development Consulting Group, Richard Schwarzstein is founder of a Newport Beach law firm and Gerard Basil Stripling is a Laguna Beach artist. Steven Gromet is principal of law firm Gromet & Associates, Marla Noel is president and board member of Fairhaven Memorial Park and Mortuary and Lisa Dallendorfer has nearly 20 years of experience with the Walt Disney Co.
BANKING
Carolanne Chavonne joined Comerica Bank, Wealth and Institutional Management as vice president and senior wealth planner in Costa Mesa. Chavonne is a certified financial planner and has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.
James Crumpton joined Bridge Capital Holdings, a subsidiary of Bridge Bank, as senior vice president and relationship manager. He was previously chief credit officer at Hercules Technology Growth Capital. His office is in Irvine.
CONSTRUCTION
Irvine-based R.D. Olson Development hired Dave Smilgys as director of development. Smilgys will manage the company’s portfolio of hotel projects in California and bordering states. He previously worked for Clark Construction as senior project manager.
CONSULTING
Joshua Haskins joined Iger & Associates Government Interface Consultants in Irvine as vice president. He will manage client advocacy and community relations for clients in real estate development, healthcare and manufacturing. Haskins will also be an instructor at the Iger & Associates Government Interface Institute.
Resources Global Professionals named Claudine Scotti director of client service in its Costa Mesa office. Scotti will manage client relationships and local business development. She previously worked as a project based consultant for Resources. She also was a human resources manager for Ernst & Young LLP.
Marco Hegyi joined The Chasm Group in Newport Beach as a principal. Hegyi has expertise in developing technology-based growth and Asian market expansion strategies. He has held chief executive and senior marketing positions at Microsoft, Yahoo and other companies.
EDUCATION
Rancho Santiago Community College District named Loy Nashua associate dean of student development at Santa Ana College. Nashua oversees programs including student government, the Service Learning Center and the Civic Entrepreneur Program.
Gustavo Chamorro was named director of the OC Center of Excellence. In this role, Chamorro will assist nine community colleges with economic reports and research tools. He has eight years of experience in implementing economic and workforce development programs.
HOSPITALITY
The Resort at Pelican Hill added Mark Phillips as director of leisure sales and Abha Abbas as leisure sales manager. Phillips recently worked at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad as director of travel industry sales. Abbas was the transient sales manager for Shutters Hotel On The Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar in Santa Ana.
NONPROFIT
Shane Foley and Jeri Konopisos joined the board of directors at the Blind Children’s Learning Center. Foley is president of Access Capital and Konopisos is an active community volunteer. The Learning Center is in its 45th year.
Community SeniorServ Inc. hired Randy Platt as chief executive. Platt has more than 22 years of experience in business and healthcare. He has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of U.S. HealthWorks Corp.
PRINTING AND GRAPHICS
Costa Mesa-based Consolidated Repro-graphics hired Jim Golden as territory manager. Golden has 30 years of experience in OC reprographics sales and service, including 14 as a sales representative for Consolidated Repro-graphics.
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Schubert Flint Public Affairs added Marice White as a vice president in its Anaheim office. White has a diverse background in public affairs, media relations and political campaigns. She has received several PROTOS awards from the Public Relations Society of America.
REAL ESTATE
MBK Senior Living named Robert Douk corporate director of dining service. Douk will develop a corporate menu program, improving policies and procedures and managing budgets and purchases for senior living properties.
