Shelley Muusse has joined the Newport Beach office of architectural and design firm Gensler. She has more than 22 years experience in corporate workplace interiors, lifestyle entertainment, hospitality and healthcare design.
Cheryl S. Besci has rejoined Gensler as account director for The Irvine Company’s 8.5 million-square-foot Irvine Office Properties real estate portfolio.

Clifford Robertson has joined Newport Beach-based GKK Corp. as senior cost estimator.
EDUCATION
Sherri Medina, Aliso Viejo resident and chief executive of CareMeridian, has been elected to the 2002-2003 University of Redlands board of trustees.
ENGINEERING
Santa Ana civil engineering firm Hall & Foreman Inc. appointed Andrew J. Powell senior project engineer and Michael MacFarland as entitlement coordinator. The firm works on a variety of projects in California and Southern Nevada.
GOVERNMENT
Daniel J. Callahan, senior managing partner at the Santa Ana-based law corporation Callahan & Blaine has been appointed honorary chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee by U.S. Rep. Tom Davis. Callahan will work with council members and Republican leadership in developing and forging new alliances.
INSURANCE
First American Title Insurance Co. has appointed John R. Thoma chief financial officer. Thoma has served as First American’s northwest regional controller and chief financial officer of its Oregon subsidiary since joining the company in 1996.
MARKETING
Orange County native Sondra Haley was named vice president of communications and community relations for Walt Disney Co.’s Disneyland Resort. Haley previously worked for former President George Bush and the National Basketball Association.
Morgan Marketing & Public Relations, an Irvine marketing and public relations agency, hired Leslie LaRue as assistant account representative. LaRue will service clients such as Weinerschnitzel, Panda Express and Taylor Woodrow Homes.
MEDICAL
Tustin-based Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. has named Larry Dentice vice president for sales. Dentice joins Toshiba from Inphact Inc.
The company also named Karen Barack-LaPoint its senior director of business operations. She will manage operations, sales support, sales training and sales force automation.
NONPROFIT
Henry K. Schrimmer has been named president of the Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Orange County for a one-year term beginning this month. Schrimmer has been a member of the board of directors since 1987 and has served on the investment, finance and executive committees.
John Alexander of Yorba Linda was elected to a three-year term on the Orange County Ronald McDonald House board of trustees. Alexander, a retired executive of the Atlantic Richfield Co., is a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Placentia and vice president of Woodside West Homeowners Association. The Orange County Ronald McDonald House provides temporary home-setting residences to families with children being treated for cancer and other illnesses at pediatric-care facilities.
REAL ESTATE
Joe Cyr has joined the Newport Beach office of NAI Capital Commercial Real Estate Services as a vice president specializing in investment sales. He previously worked at Voit Commercial Brokerage.
Nadia Gilmore has joined Coreland Cos., a Tustin commercial real estate group, as director of retail leasing and sales at its Los Angeles brokerage office.
Scott Hamilton has joined CT Realty Corp., Newport Beach as vice president acquisitions. Hamilton will be responsible for the acquisition of office, industrial and mixed-use properties throughout Southern California. Hamilton has more than 17 years experience in acquisitions, dispositions and asset property management.
REPROGRAPHICS
OCB Reprographics has promoted four of its employees. Chuck Hayes, the company’s president, has been promoted to chief executive. Former vice president Patrick “Odie” Duggan has been named president of the company’s OC operations. Roger Lackey has been promoted to senior vice president in charge of on-site services. Eric Schmitz has been named senior vice president of San Diego operations.
