ACCOUNTING

KMJ Corbin & Co. of Irvine named Rick Lange as its senior director of development. Lange will oversee development in Orange and San Diego counties. Previously, Lange was director of business development for Stone-field Josephson Inc.

Deloitte & Touche USA LLP nominated Sharon Allen for re-election to a second four-year term as chairman. Allen has been a partner at Deloitte since 1983 and works with clients in Deloitte’s Costa Mesa and Santa Ana offices.


ARCHITECTURE

Ware Malcomb named Tom Myers principal of commercial architecture for the Irvine office. He has 22 years of experience in the industry and joined the company in 2004.


ASSOCIATIONS

Laguna Hills-based California Association of Community Managers named Dan Kocal chairman of the board. Kocal is president and founder of Folsom’s Kocal Management Group Inc.


AUTOMOTIVE

The Cypress office of Toyo Tire Corp. hired Julie Sediq as director of marketing communications. Sediq recently worked as director of media and communications for Honda Center. Robert Waytashek was promoted to consumer products manager. Gina Aparicio was promoted to project manager of events, off-road.


BANKING

Central Pacific Bank promoted Maria E. Martinez to assistant vice president and loan servicing officer for its Mainland Credit Admin-stration in Newport Beach. Martinez joined Central Pacific Bank in 2005 as a loan servicing officer. Aaron J. Rodriguez was promoted to assistant vice president of operations and loan servicing officer. He has more than 16 years of lending experience.

Mark Nowak joined First Bank as vice president, commercial banking officer, in the commercial banking division in Newport Beach. He has seven years of experience in banking.


CONSULTING

SM & A; of Newport Beach, which works with aerospace and defense contractors on project bids, named Cynthia A. Davis-Sailar chief executive. Davis-Sailar will join the board and has 20 years of experience with SM & A;’s core aerospace and defense markets.


MARKETING

Mike Bartley joined Irvine-based Mice DisplayWorks as vice president of operations for West Coast operations. Bartley was regional director of sales at GES Exhibit and Design.


MEDIA

Irvine’s Freedom Communications Inc. promoted Frank Minano to director of employment and classified call center advertising. Minano previously was a sales training manager. Julio S & #225;enz was named general manager of Exc & #233;lsior, the company’s Spanish-language weekly newspaper.


NONPROFIT

Bob Earl joined the Laguna Beach board of the Festival of Arts Foundation for a five-year term. Earl has a background in investments and has served on the Festival of Arts Scholarship committee.

The Orange County chapter of the Alz-heimer’s Association named Jacque Du-pont to its board. Dupont is owner and chief executive of Irvine Cottages, Assured Hor-izons and Assured In Home Care.

The Challenged Athletes Foundation named Laguna Beach’s David Jochim and Thomas Knapp to its board. Jochim has 22 years of experience in commercial banking. Knapp, a below-elbow amputee, founded and ran apparel companies including True Textiles, Honolua Surf Co. and Club Sportswear.


PRINTING

Tom Denton joined Los Alamitos-based Trend Offset Printing Services Inc. as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Denton recently worked at Kodak/Creo as solution sales manager for Southern California.


REAL ESTATE

C. Alan Arthur was promoted to chief financial officer and senior vice president of Fieldstone Corp. Arthur joined subsidiary Fieldstone Communities in 1985.


TECHNOLOGY

Buena Park-based Yamaha Corporation of America’s commercial audio systems unit hired David Hatmaker and promoted Chris Taylor to research and development managers. Hatmaker worked for 19 years as technical director for Disneyland Resort Entertainment Productions. Marc Lopez was named marketing manager and will focus on strategic marketing in North America. Chris Hinson was promoted to district manager and Lon Brannies was promoted to consultant and marketing manager. Brannies has more than 35 years of professional audio experience.
