Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. elected Peter V. Ueberroth, managing director of the Contrarian Group, Newport Beach, to its board of directors. Ueberroth was a director of the Promus Hotel Corp., which was acquired by Hilton last year.
Ann Baran was named general manager of Dolphin’s Cove Resort, Anaheim. She was formerly general manager of Gaslamp Plaza Suites in San Diego.
Amy Re joined the Doubletree Hotel, Costa Mesa, as sales manager. She was most recently task force sales manager for Sunstone Hotels, San Clemente.
The Hilton Anaheim and Towers named Shannon O’Connell senior sales manager. She was most recently sales manager for the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, but had previously been convention service coordinator for the Hilton Anaheim.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Davidson Personnel Inc., Irvine, announced three promotions: Jennifer Evans, an 8-year company veteran, was named executive vice president; Arlene Pattugalan was promoted to manager for marketing communications and administrative services; and Shannon Adams was appointed manager of technical staffing. In addition, Julie Smithson was hired as business development manager.
INSURANCE
Earl Malit was promoted from senior vice president of product management to president of HNC Insurance Solutions, Irvine. He was formerly vice president of business planning at Sega of America.
Pacific Life Insurance Co., Newport Beach, appointed five assistant vice presidents: Karen M. Brown, model office and quality assurance; Heather A. Paige, securities operations; Sonja V. Scott, compensation in the human resources department; John G. Torell, securities portfolio operations; and John White, internal wholesaling in the annuities division.
MANUFACTURING
Dirk Manning was named vice president and general sales manager for the Western area of Kimball Office Furniture, Newport Beach. He joined the company in 1990 as a regional sales manager.

Point B Inc., Newport Beach, appointed Barbara Dunne manager of medical education/account supervisor. She previously held positions with FCB Healthcare in San Francisco and GenQuest in San Diego.
Susan Vineyard joined the support staff for JRA Interactive Inc., Newport Beach. She will work in project management and content development and assist with account management.
Amy Oh, Linda Hsieh, Bruce Wexler, and Renae Maurer joined BDS Marketing, Irvine. Oh was appointed production and traffic manager; Hsieh was named data management supervisor; Wexler was appointed data management supervisor; and Maurer was hired as a recruiter.

Photomation Photo Lab, Anaheim, promoted Bob Waldren and Glenn Ritchie to account executives. Waldren is an 11-year veteran of Photomation. Ritchie was previously customer service supervisor for the company. A 10-year company veteran, Mary Holguin, was promoted to customer service supervisor.
