Santa-Ana based Truth and Advertising named Jeannie Nguyen account coordinator.

BANKING

Lilia Villase & #324;or joined Newport Beach-based Downey Financial Corp. as vice president, community development and investment manager for its Downey Savings and Loan unit. Villase & #324;or formerly was national multicultural manager for Bank of America Corp. She serves on the boards of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals of Orange County and the Affordable Housing Clearinghouse.

Chicago-based Northern Trust Corp. named Piero Wemyss vice president and wealth strategist in the company’s wealth strategies group in Newport Beach. Wemyss has a master’s of business administration from Claremont Graduate University.

CONSTRUCTION

Irvine-based Hogle-Ireland Inc., a land-planning and development consulting firm, appointed Leisa Brug as director of public relations.

HOSPITALITY

Kasi Iacono was named sales manager of the Hilton Costa Mesa. Iacono most recently served as sales manager at the Four Points by Sheraton in San Diego.

LAW

Eric M. Overman joined Pillsbury Winthrop LLP’s Costa Mesa office as of counsel. Overman previously was with the New York offices of Deloitte & Touche LLP. His focus is asset finance.

Knobbe, Martens, Olsen & Bear LLP added three associates to its Irvine office: Ruhi Kumar, Philip Poirier and Lance Stern.

NONPROFIT

Orange County Community Foundation Inc., which provides scholarships and grants to local charities, named six people to its board of governors: N. Christian Anderson, publisher of the Orange County Register; Don Kennedy, chairman emeritus, First American Corp.; David Dukes, vice chairman, RSI Holding Corp.; Dick Allen, president of DIMA Ventures; Socorro Vasquez, board trustee, South Coast Repertory and board member, Saint Joseph Ballet; K.P. “Bala” Balkrishna, chief executive of Commercial Bank of California.

Barbara DeBoom was named to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee, the primary advisory body for the national chamber. De-Boom has been chief executive of the Orange Chamber of Commerce for the past seven years. She’ll continue to head the local chamber.

REAL ESTATE

Jozann Bojorquez and Melinda Baumgardner were promoted to development associate community manager and architectural assistant, respectively, at Irvine-based Keystone Pacific Property Mana-gement Inc.

Laguna Niguel-based Birtcher Anderson Realty LLC named William Harp senior vice president. Harp comes from the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio where he served as senior acquisition officer.

Irvine-based Real Estate Partners Inc. tapped John Itzel as director of acquisitions. Itzel was principal broker with Chase Financial Corp. in Irvine prior to joining Real Estate Partners.

TECHNOLOGY

Los Angeles-based technology consultant Affidia Systems Inc. added Steve Bettancourt as lead salesperson for Orange and San Diego counties. Bettancourt is working out of Affidia’s Costa Mesa offices. Bettencourt has more than two decades of experience in sales, business development and marketing.

David Henderson was appointed director of operations at Tustin-based Worldlink Integration Group Inc. Henderson comes from Atlas ITS Inc., a company he founded.

TRANSPORTATION

Newport Beach dealership Bayport Yachts named J.R. Means III president. He replaces his father, Jack Means, who is chief executive of the company he founded in 1987.

WAREHOUSE

Kathleen Prunty was promoted to general manager at Huntington Beach-based Index Industries Inc., which is part of Naperville, Ill.-based Interlake Material Handling Inc. Prunty has been with Interlake for five years, most recently as a district manager.
