ACCOUNTING

Gary Strout was promoted to tax manager at HMWC CPAs & Business Advisors in Tustin. Strout joined the firm in 2002 as a senior accountant and transferred to the tax department in 2006.


AUTOMOTIVE

Toyo Tire U.S.A Corp. in Cypress named Yasushi Takagi executive vice president and chief operating officer. From 2006 to 2008 Takagi was general manager of corporate planning.


CONSULTING

Jack Stranberg joined Insight Consulting Part-ners LLC in Irvine as a partner. Sranberg pre-viously was a partner

with California Strategies LLC, a consulting and governmental affairs company. He also has owned a consulting firm and was partner-in-charge of KPMG LLP’s Orange County management consulting department.


EMPLOYMENT

Michelle Pickering was named director of the McDermott & Bull Executive Network in Irvine. Pickering previously worked as director of operations for USA Water Polo Inc.


GOVERNMENT

Export-Import Bank of the United States added Rob Guthrie as a business initiatives specialist and West Coast representative. Guthrie will work out of the agency’s Newport Beach office.


HEALTHCARE

Paul Parleberg joined Enclarity Inc. in Aliso Viejo as president and chief operating

officer. He previously was a senior exe-

cutive with Fair Isaac Corp. where he helped grow the company’s revenue from $200

million to $800 million in a five-year

period.

Oxygen Biotherapeutics Inc. in Costa Mesa named Charles Seeman chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and administration.

VertiFlex Inc. in San Clemente added Jack Carlson as vice president of U.S. sales, Scott Lynch as vice president of global marketing and William Joseph as vice president of operations.


LAW

Carlo Caravetta of Waterman Sichon & Caravetta LLP in Tustin was named chief legal counsel of worldwide affairs on behalf of Solvators Inc., a Singapore-based private placement investment group.


MARKETING

L & A; Marketing and Advertising Inc. in

Irvine added Ray Mong as senior graphic designer. Mong will focus on multimedia campaigns.


MEDIA

Brad Cooper joined CircleUp, a group communications provider in Newport Beach, as vice president of marketing. Cooper previously was vice president of media and operations at WebVisible Inc.


NONPROFIT

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County hired Ricardo Rodriguez and Liz Martinez as match support specialists and Hazel Suazo and Suzette Toscano as new enrollment specialists for school based programs.

Stradling, Yocca, Carlson and Rauth lawyer Kurt Yeager was elected board chair of Project Independence in Costa Mesa. The nonprofit supports children with autism.


REAL ESTATE

Irvine’s Western National Property Management, part of Western National Group, added Lynn Klug as regional vice president of business development. Klug previously was vice president of marketing and training for the multifamily property management division at Sares-Regis Group.

CoStar Group Inc. in Newport Beach named Randy Wallen regional director of sales and Robert Vail account executive. Wallen will oversee the sales and training for the Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego markets.


TECHNOLOGY

Barry Williams joined Tustin’s Brillia, a division of Permlight Products Inc., as director, Western region original equipment manager sales. Williams previously worked at Nichia Corp., where he helped the company see a 40% annual growth rate for four years.

Equity Thru Energy Inc. in Placentia named Frank Redman director of operations and Jeffrey Chamberlain director of sales. Red-man will focus on strategic planning and Chamberlain will focus on sales and marketing.


TOURISM

The Board of the Huntington Beach Conference and Visitor’s Bureau named Stephen Bone president and chief executive. Bone was a founding co-chair of the Orange County Tourism Council and founding chair of the Orange County Film Commission.
