BANKING
Jennifer Van Bergh joined the Costa Mesa office of Citigroup Inc.’s private bank unit, which provides wealth management services, as a regional market manager.
The Costa Mesa office of Deutsche Bank AG’s private wealth management operation appointed Anne E. McInnis as a wealth advisor.
RSM EquiCo Inc., a Costa Mesa-based investment bank, appointed Mary M. Colston as controller. RSM EquiCo also named Hector J. Cuellar president of its broker-dealer subsidiary RSM EquiCo Capital Markets LLC.
EDUCATION
Joseph N. Quarles was hired as vice chancellor, human resources, for the Coast Community College District, which includes Coastline, Golden West and Orange Coast colleges. Quarles previously was deputy superintendent and chief of staff for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.
ELECTRONICS
Smarthome Inc., an Irvine-based provider of electronic home improvement and personal products, named Rajeev Kapur vice president of sales and marketing. Kapur comes from Dell Inc., where he most recently served as general manager of the company’s South Asian division in Singapore. Smarthome also added Ken Fairbanks as sales director.
LAW
Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer LLP added David Zoetewey to the intellectual property group at its Irvine office.
The Irvine office of Seattle-based Preston Gates & Ellis LLP made two additions: Louis C. “Chip” Cullman joined as a partner and Michelle Glasky was brought on board as a patent agent.
NONPROFIT
The Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana elected three new members to its board: Jons Besch, vice president/managing director, Western region, for Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co.; Steve Marconi, senior director, worldwide channel sales at Emulex Corp. of Costa Mesa; and Tom McDorman, vice president, worldwide customer satisfaction at Lake Forest-based Western Digital Corp. Additionally, two board members were re-elected: Lynn April Hartline, board member, Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union; and Robert B. Smith, professor, Orange Coast College.
REAL ESTATE
Professional Community Management Inc. in Lake Forest appointed Debbie Evans as senior vice president, Lake Forest management services.
Irvine-based Option One Mortgage Corp., a residential lending unit of H & R; Block Inc., named Jeffrey Flory national sales manager for the Western region in its national accounts division. Flory joined Option One in 1996.
Orange’s Beazer Homes Southern California, part of Atlanta-based Beazer Homes USA Inc., created a quality assurance department and promoted Barry Cadreau and Stan Westrick to quality assurance managers. In addition, Beazer Homes promoted Jeramy Simonian and Carter Dandridge to customer care supervisors.
Arlington, Texas-based D.R. Horton Inc.’s Orange County/Inland Empire division appointed Ed Arciniega to division sales manager. Prior to joining D.R. Horton, Arciniega was an area sales manager for Dallas-based Centex Homes’ Los Angeles/Ventura division.
SPORTS
Anaheim Arena Management LLC, which manages the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, named Bob Wagner vice president, sales and marketing. Wagner comes after four years with the National Hot Rod Association, where he was vice president of sales and business development.
