Rosetti Jorgensen added Paul Murphey to its Newport Beach office as lead architect. He will act as key manager in technical document preparation and review. Murphey has more than 30 years of experience in performance theaters, mixed-use and commercial projects.
CONSULTING
Century Group added Joy Field as an associate director in its Costa Mesa office. Field will manage client and project development. She recently was a practice manager with the management resources division of Robert Half International Inc.
EDUCATION
Rancho Santiago Community College District added Donald Maus as its environmental safety and emergency services manager. Maus will ensure a safe and healthy environment at all college district facilities. He spent the past 10 years as manager of safety and risk management at Knott’s Berry Farm Resort.
FINANCE
Robert Panetti joined Tax & Financial Group in Newport Beach as an investment consultant in the investment services division. Previously, Panetti was a founder of Capital Reserve Advisors Inc. He is a member of the CFA Institute and is a member of the board of Newport Corporate Plaza.
LAW
Buchalter Nemer added Steven Brower as a shareholder in its Irvine office. Brower recently worked at Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman PC and specializes in business insurance coverage issues and computer technology. He also handles real estate and general business litigation.
Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara LLP named John Toohey partner in its Newport Beach office. Toohey specializes in contract negotiation and litigation and complex product liability cases. He has spent the past two years mentoring young associates at the firm and is a member of the OC Bar Association.
Jon Goetz joined the Costa Mesa office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Goetz recently worked at Newport Beach-based Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth where he focused on negotiating numerous public-private property development projects, preparation of bond documents and processing of land use entitlement approvals.
MANUFACTURING
Anaheim-based Lasco Bathware promoted Shelly Roberts to regional sales manager. Roberts has been with Lasco for the past six years and most recently was senior marketing manager. She is responsible for the creation of a bilingual Web site for Spanish speaking builders.
MARKETING
SmartReply Inc. of Irvine, a mobile marketer, promoted Mary Scimone to director of product development, loyalty systems. Scimone is a veteran of the SmartReply strategic services group and will be responsible for creating a comprehensive marketing solution. Additionally, the company hired Kelly Noel as director of product development, direct to consumer.
Costa Mesa-based Idea Hall added Sonia Aujla, Korina Kannedy and Michael Frazier to its agency. Aujla will oversee strategic planning for accounts and project teams. Kannedy will develop ads, logos and collateral materials. Frazier will assist the senior art director and production artist.
NONPROFIT
The Junior League of OC, California Inc. named Stacey Kinney as president. Members named to the board are MeeRan Kim-Anderson, Liana Augustini, Gwen- dolyn Black, Janet Colclaser, Carla Dillon, Laura Giles, Kathryn Grant, Jennifer Martin, Kelly Northridge, Isabelle Ord, Kristin Scheithauer and Erin Stone.
REAL ESTATE
The Irvine Company added Ralph Grippo as president of its resort division and managing director of The Resort at Pelican Hill. He spent the past 17 years with Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. and most recently was vice president and area general manager for China. Arte Nathan joined The Irvine Co.’s properties resort division as vice president of human resources. Nathan recently worked as senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Wynn Resorts.
Santa Ana-based First American Corp. named Michael A. Rasic vice president, director of SEC reporting, David L. Ruhm chief actuary and Mark E. Seaton director of investor relations. Rasic recently worked as chief financial officer at Metrocities Mortgage. Ruhm spent eight years at Hartford Financial Services Group. Seaton will manage investor relations and communications.
Jennifer Duarte of Vestar Development Co. was named general manager for The District at Tustin Legacy. Duarte will oversee all operations, tenant relations and financial responsibilities. She has been a property manager with Vestar since 2002.
Robert Cowan was named research analyst for the Anaheim office of Grubb & Ellis Co. Cowan recently was research associate at the CoStar Group Inc. He received an Excellence in Marketing scholarship from the Slade’s Ferry Bank Center for Business Research in 2003.
TECHNOLOGY
Axiom Microdevices Inc. in Irvine named Raymond Wang director of Asia Pacific sales and Taiwan-based electronics distributor Watson-Bell Co. Before Axiom, Wang was director of China sales for Paradigm Wireless Systems Inc.
