Irvine-based Haskell & White LLP appointed Wayne R. Pinnell to the position of managing partner. Pinnell has been a partner at the firm for the past eight years. He succeeds Steven Haskell, cofounding partner and managing partner since the firm opened in 1988. Haskell now will take on the role of director, special operations.

Melissa Soucek was named account coordinator at The Peterson Group, a marketing communications agency in Newport Beach.
Marshall Advertising and Design in Costa Mesa promoted Roger Feldman and Eric Cwiertny to creative directors.
BANKING
Farmers & Merchants Bank of Long Beach named Marty Hartsock branch manager and vice president of its
new Huntington Beach branch. Hartsock was promoted from assistant manager of the Belmont Shore branch. Brian Bielicki was hired as vice president.
Ontario-based Citizens Business Bank hired Kari Koh as vice
president and business development officer of the East Orange
Business Financial Center in Orange. Koh previously was vice president and branch manager for two Orange County branches of Pomona First Federal Bank and Trust.
DEFENSE
Meggitt Defense Systems Inc. in Fullerton, part of Britain’s Meggitt PLC, named Chester “Chet” Claudon to the position of vice president, business operations. Claudon most recently was chief operating officer and president of Think Tank
Systems LLC in Cerritos.
ENVIRONMENT
Chambers Group Inc., a provider of environmental consulting services, promoted Kevin
A. Martin to director of terrestrial biology
at its Irvine headquarters.
FINANCE
Newport Beach-based Downey Savings and Loan Association named Tony Younis
its regional manager
for the Orange County region. Younis has been with Downey for six years.
LAW
Phoenix-based Snell & Wilmer LLP added Timothy J. Kay, partner, and Melinda D. Waterman, associate attorney, to the estate planning and trust administration team at its Irvine office.
MANUFACTURING
Fluidmaster Inc., a San Juan Capistrano-based maker of toilet repair products, appointed
William “Bill” Anti to the position of director of marketing. Anti is a 30-year veteran of the plumbing industry and most recently served as vice president of marketing for Water Pik Technologies Inc. of Newport Beach.
San Clemente-based Sonance, which makes home audio products, promoted Scott Sylvester to the new position of director of product strategy. Ken Manson was promoted to manager of product education. Kim-Anthony Parker was hired as technical services manager. Sonance also added three product specialists to work in its field offices: Nathan Lepchitz, Eastern region; Tony Trimble, Western region; and Mark Ohlwiler, national retail.
REAL ESTATE
Nationwide Health Properties Inc., a Newport Beach-based real estate investment trust, promoted Donald D. Bradley to senior vice president and chief investment officer.
Kevin Tilden was named chief financial officer of Aliso Viejo-based Merit Cos., the parent company of Merit Property Management Inc., Merit Association Services Inc. and Community Technologies Inc. Tilden has been with Merit since 1994 and previously held the positions of corporate controller and vice president of corporate finance.
