DMJM H & N;/Aecom, which designs jails and other criminal justice facilities, promoted Michael Griebel to vice president and added Robert Greene as vice president, Jeff Buck as principal, David Voda as senior associate and Hugh Lester as an associate. Griebel has spent more than 26 years as a senior facility planner on more than 15 major detention and correctional facility projects. Greene has more than 30 years of experience in the justice field. Buck has spent 29 years planning criminal justice facilities. Voda has 23 years and Lester has eight years of experience designing justice facilities.
AUTOMOTIVE
Fletcher Jones Motor-cars added Larry Lewis as director of fixed operations. Lewis will oversee service, parts and collision divisions at the Newport Beach Mer-cedes dealership. Lewis recently was director of fixed operations for Walter’s Automotive Group in Riverside.
EDUCATION
Donald Maus was named environmental safety and emergency services manager at Rancho Santiago Community College District in Santa Ana. Maus spent the past 25 years at Knott’s Berry Farm and was responsible for guest safety, accident investigation and regulatory compliance.
ENGINEERING
Dudek’s Irvine office added Peter Pang, Lincoln Hurlbut and Ryan Henry. Pang is a senior analyst with nine years of experience in the private sector. Hurlbut is an environmental specialist specializing in conception and evaluation of projects. Henry is a senior biologist at Dudek and provides clients with integrated environmental services.
HEALTHCARE
Orange County Supervisor Pat Bates was elected to the South Coast Medical Center Foundation board. The foundation’s goal is to raise funds for equipment and facilities. Bates is a member of StarFinders, the largest support group of the medical center.
LAW
Irvine-based estate tax planning firm Albrecht & Barney named Colleen Barney managing partner and added Mark E. Powell as a partner. In 2003, Barney received the Business Journal’s Women in Business Award. Powell specializes in trust and estate matters, mainly gift and estate tax planning.
Bingham McCutchen LLP added Deborah M. Rosenthal as a partner in its Costa Mesa office. Rosenthal joins from Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP in Irvine. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and devotes her practice to land use and environmental law and litigation.
The Irvine office of Jones Day added Richard Ruben, Ralph Blakeney and Darren Cottriel as partners in the litigation practice group. Ruben recently was global co-chair and Blakeney and Cottriel were partners of the litigation practice at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. Cottriel was managing partner of Pillsbury’s Costa Mesa office. Blakeney specializes in business and real estate litigation.
REAL ESTATE
Keystone Pacific Property Management Inc. promoted Rebecca Gomez to account executive at CZ Master Association Community in Coto de Caza. She previously was enforcement coordinator at the same location. Gomez has spent seven years in the industry and her duties entail supervising staff and serving as point of contact for vendors and district delegates.
Irvine-based La Jolla Pacific Ltd. hired Christel Bendel as vice president of internal operations. She has more than 15 years of experience in management, administration and labor law compliance.
Jerry Anderson was named chief operating officer of Sperry Van Ness in Irvine. Anderson has spent three years with the company. He aims to expand Sperry Van Ness’ presence in Chicago, New York and the Mid-Atlantic states.
RESTAURANT
Lee Sanders was named president and chief executive of Johnny Rockets Group Inc. in Lake Forest. He spent the past five years as senior vice president of development and franchising at Minneapolis-based Buffalo Wild Wings Inc.
TECHNOLOGY
Monte Zator was named vice president of original equipment manufacturing solutions at CallCommand LLC in Irvine. Zator has more than 25 years of senior management and executive experience in automotive sales and marketing. Prior to Call-Command, he was vice president for Who’s Calling, which has a Western regional office in Irvine.
TOYS
The Santa Ana office of Japan’s Tomy Corp. promoted Kaz Sugiyama to president, Laura Yoshioka to director of consumer software and added Ron Kushner as national sales manager. Sugiyama has spent 20 years at Tomy and recently was chairman of Tomy in Britain. Yoshioka joined Tomy in 2005 and has seven years of experience in interactive entertainment. Kushner recently was national sales manager for Sunco Products Inc.
